END OF WINDOWS 7 NICOLAS DUPONT AIGNANT WARNS THE GOVERNMENT

It is no secret that Microsoft wants the death of Windows 7, which some hard-liners are not ready to give up. The government for example, even if one did not think at first, is still under the yoke of Microsoft. Nicolas Dupont-Aignant, candidate for the presidential election of 2017, warns the state today facing its use of Windows 7.

In our society, it is now imperative to be ahead of the slightest computer threat. But the fact is that pirates will always be one step ahead of us, capable of deconstructing the slightest barrier so long as we give them time to.
The goal is to be as protected as possible, reactive and constantly face new threats to our lives . To do so, the operating system is often the first barrier, but also the first weakness, of our computer networks.
Nicolas Dupont-Aignant, currently deputy and presidential candidate in 2017, seems to be aware of these future risks as a result of the announcement of the end of Windows 7 support, scheduled for January 2020 it warns the government about To its use of Microsofts operating systems.
Indeed, it highlights a "planned obsolescence strategy" maintained by the developer, which puts at risk the security of government computer network as it will be corrected eventually. This struggle so that the free operating systems, updated freely in time, be adopted by 2020.
This is not the first time that the links between the government and Microsoft are involved, since the Ministry of Education has been sued for its partnership with the developer as part of its "free" agreement of Use of its software.

Before the implementation of free software in government organizations should however be accelerated shortly in Europe, as Brussels has allocated 2 million euros in the transition to free software for its administration. Let us hope that France follows this movement.
