Auto driving Google and Honda to sign deal

Auto driving Google and Honda to sign deal

Google is multiplying partnerships. After announcing a collaboration with the Fiat-Chrysler Group, Google has just entered into talks with Honda.

Independent driving is one of the great challenges of the contemporary automobile. After officially recorded in mid-July a partnership with the Fiat-Chrysler group , Google (through its subsidiary Waymo ) entered into talks with the Honda automobile manufacturer. He explained that the partnership aims to test on American roads vehicles equipped with technologies Waymo reports Le Figaro .

This win-win collaboration will also allow Google to increase its testing and Honda to improve its expertise. The latter will continue to develop its own independent car technology. This strategy should allow Google to market its platform to medium or even short term. Many manufacturers have set the deadline of 2020; To say that the race is launched.

The first vehicles developed in collaboration with Chrysler will be operational from 2017. Waymo has also published a first photo of the final rendition. If the agreement is reached, a Honda autonomous fleet should quickly travel the US roads.
