GALAXY S8 RELEASE DATE PRICES AND SPECIFICATIONS

GALAXY S8 RELEASE DATE PRICES AND SPECIFICATIONS

The Galaxy S8 will be presented only at the beginning of next year but it already makes much talk about him. While the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge had allowed Samsung to increase its profits in the first half of the year, the battery problems of the Galaxy Note 7 will have cost him dearly and will not fail to tarnish its image. The expectations are therefore very strong with this new model. Heres all we know about it.

Note that it is for the moment only rumors that will come to confirm or not. This file will be regularly updated.

A curved and borderless Galaxy S8

In the same way it did with its Galaxy Note 7 , Samsung Galaxy S8 could decline only in curved release. Last August, the Galaxy S7 Edge presented itself as the best selling smartphone in the world in 2016, evidence that Samsung has managed to impose this new form factor that is beginning to invite in competition. Korean propose nevertheless always two versions of its flagship smartphone, a 5.7-inch and one 6.2-inch that would take the name of Galaxy More S8 , the term "Edge" is no longer necessary to differentiate two.
Note that this screen would be curved not only on the side edges but on all four edges. The Galaxy S8 and say goodbye to the traditional physical Home button which would be replaced by a new optical fingerprint reader built directly on the screen. The smartphone would therefore be borderless like the Xiaomi Mi Mix and would retain reasonable dimensions despite the presence of an XXL screen.
As for the fingerprint reader, it is assumed to be the latest Synaptics Natural ID FS9100 biometric sensor for borderless smartphones with no Home button. Another report, however, suggests that Samsung would use a more conventional fingerprint reader placed on the back of the device.
For its part, the vice president of Samsung himself confirmed that the new model would propose a more "smooth" design. And according to the latest rumors, the traditional physical keys of power supply and volume control would be replaced by tactile keys. Since then, a new report has confirmed for the umpteenth time that the Galaxy S8 and S8 have more curved screens .

Note that analysts remain very divided about the curved screens. According to them, the demand for dual-edge screens is not sufficient enough and Samsung would make a big mistake by not offering a "flat screen" version.

A 4K Bio Blue screen for virtual reality

Everything now suggests that the Galaxy S8 will be the first Samsung smartphone equipped with a 4K display . The prospect of a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels on a 5.5-inch screen may seem crazy, however, the Korean is obviously determined to improve the virtual reality experience offered on its smartphones. Only the 5.5-inch "Plus" version would offer a 4K screen that would offer a completely crazy 801 dpi resolution while the 5.1-inch model would retain a quad HD screen.
Note that this screen would be based on Bio Blue technology which allows to display only 6% of blue light versus 32% for the classic AMOLED tiles. A technology to protect the eyes of the user who are very close to the smartphone when it is placed in a VR headset.
Note however that a more recent leak than since Samsung would have abandoned the 4K screen for a Quad HD screen for fear of the impacts of such a high resolution on the phone battery. Finally, the materials found on the screen of the Galaxy S6, S7 and Note 7 would be replaced by the next generation, more durable. In addition, instead of using a PenTile matrix, the Galaxy S8 screen would use an RBG matrix, better suited for virtual reality.
In, note that the 5.7-inch model would offer a Y-OCTA screen. A technology already used on the Galaxy Note 7 which allows to produce screens both finer but also less expensive.

A powerful Exynos 8895 processor

Each new generation of smartphone arrives with his power clusters and the Galaxy S8 should be no exception to the rule since it would be equipped with an Exynos 8895 processor . Recently tested on the benchmark tool, he gets scores of 7019 and 2301 points on the test multi-core and single core of Geekbench with a clock frequency of 3 GHz, but it seems that it can go up to 4 GHz , It is therefore likely to offer even more impressive results at full power.
Note that this new processor would display a fine engraving of 10 nanometers which should allow it to reach heights in terms of power and autonomy. It would be coupled with the latest ARM Mali-G71 GPU optimized for the 4K and virtual reality that offers 1.8 times of power than the Mali-T880 MP12 GPU Galaxy S7 and supports the Vulkan API and standards OpenGL ES 3.2, GPU Compute and Android RenderScript.
An idea of ??his brute power? Its simple: appeared on AnTuTu, it explodes all the records with a score of 203,737 well beyond the current champions. Just like this year, the Exynos 8895 should be offered alternately with the next Qualcomm processor, the famous Snapdragon 835, depending on the market. Finally, note that on the 4K model, the amount of RAM should increase up to 6GB as long as the storage capacity reaches 256 GB.
