Pornhub tells Twitter to Sell Vine to them
Pornhub tells Twitter to Sell Vine to them
Recently, Twitter made it Public that it would be Shutting down the Vine app, a short-form video sharing service founded in 2012, where users can share six-second-long looping video clips. It seems adult site pornhub does not want to witness the death of such platform as they have shown an interest in acquiring it, with the believe that it would serve them week despite the limited video length of just six seconds.
I know some of us dont know Pornhub, Pornhub is a pornographic video sharing website and the largest pornography site on the Internet.
In a letter from Pornhub VP Corey Price to Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, he opined that acquiring the vine platform could help twitter in terms of finance and help them (pornhub) to serve their customers better. A part of the letter read;
We figure since Twitter has dropped (Vine) and is having significant layoffs, that you and your stakeholders could benefit from a cash infusion from the sale of Vine. Not to mention we would be saving Vine gems like Damn Daniel, Awkward Puppets and many more.
The company said it would not delete any Vines that have been posted for now, anyway. We value you, your Vines, and are going to do this the right way, the company said in a Medium post. Youll be able to access and download your Vines. Well be keeping the website online because we think its important to still be able to watch all the incredible Vines that have been made.
This, above is exactly what has led me to think they might not consider selling to Pornhub, even though the offer came after the statement was made. But come to think of it, what is the rationale behind leaving the videos lying fallow on the internet when you can sell it off and increase your purse.
This might also be Twitters plan to prevent potential buyers from thinking it is a panic-sell. Now that someone has brought an offer, they would have more bargaining power. Im just saying.
Looking at it this way, do you think it would be polite to vine users, if the platform is sold to a ponographic site like PornHub. I dont think so, but lets hear what you think.
