SAMSUNG HOW WILL THE DUAL PHOTO SENSOR OF THE NEXT GALAXY
Samsung is considering integrating dual photo sensors into its future smartphones, as evidenced today by a new patent application. Just stay to know when. It is often said that the longer it is, the better it is and in view of what the Korean manufacturer seems to have imagined, it may be worth the wait, well not too much either!
The Galaxy S8 will have no dual camera sensor , while the Samsung has long envisioned. On the other hand, the Korean should integrate this functionality in its future smartphones. The dual camera can be declined in several configurations. Here, it would be question to use two cameras of different focal lengths of which a wide angle camera like on the LG G5. The second camera will allow to get very close plans without zoom.
With such a system, future Galaxy could easily simulate optical zooms as already possible on some smartphones of the market like the iPhone 7 Plus or the Huawei Mate 9. The advantage of this system is that it allows d Enlarge the picture without the need for digital zoom. So you do not lose in detail. In late September, another patent dual camera sensor Samsung already had a similar system.
This second patent goes further however, since it presents us with a functionality enabling a visible object to be tracked and zoomed in the field of the wide-angle camera with the other camera, as can be seen here as an example with the snowboarder.
In the field of photophones, competition is tough. In the past two years, Samsung has had no difficulty in reaching the top of the standings by offering two excellent sensors, first on the Galaxy S6, then on the Galaxy S7. It will however have to redouble its inventiveness so that its future smartphones remain in the lead.
