IPhone 2017 a premium version nicknamed Ferrari by Apple

IPhone 2017 a premium version nicknamed Ferrari by Apple

The iPhone 8 rumor suggests the arrival of a very premium iPhone 2017 christened in-house Ferrari. A new sign indicating the preparation of an iPhone with a curved screen for next year?

iphone-edge-edge

Always so many , the latest rumor dated 8 iPhone comes from China where the site cnBeta have recovered a schematic section of the inside of the next Apple smartphone. The completely different layout of the motherboard suggests a brand new model, perhaps a possible iPhone Premium. Internally the project would be christened Ferrari, a name that could be indicative of its positioning.

It would have a screen curved OLED , like the Galaxy Edge of Samsung and would oversee the range. Always more exclusive, the iPhone 2017 Premium would allow Apple to improve its margins to offset the decline in sales that has been confirmed for several quarters.

It is of course impossible to verify the authenticity of the document, so it is necessary to keep its tongs of use with this type of revelation. However, the iPhone returns cyclically on the front of the stage and after two disappointing generations and a severe lack of innovation, Apple has to respond. The arrival of a new model of rupture would be a good solution to counter Samsung and the many Chinese manufacturers who are in ambush.

Beware! MTN Increases Interest Rate Of Extra time Borrow Me Credit By 50

Beware! MTN Increases Interest Rate Of Extra time Borrow Me Credit By 50

As the inflation in the country bites harder, MTN has quickly joined the bandwagon by increasing the interest rate of their extra-time (borrow me) credit service by 50%.

And don’t get it twisted immediately when we say “by” 50% increment of the former 10% interest rate.

As what that simply entails is that MTN increased extra-time interest rate from 10% to 15%, which amounts to 50% increment.
MTN-increases-extra-time-interest-rate-from-10%-t-15%

For example if  you borrow N100 MTN airtime and want to pay back, instead of MTN deducting N10 from your subsequent recharge as interest, N15 will be deducted.

This latest development coming from MTN is expected to take effect from the 11th of this month, where all MTN subscribers who are Extra-time worthy will start repaying their borrowed airtime at in interest rate of 15%.

Remember, you can use code *606# at any time to access your MTN extra-time eligibility status and to borrow airtime.

Apps in Google Play have risen by 18 after the entry into force of the “tax on Google”

Apps in Google Play have risen by 18 after the entry into force of the “tax on Google”

From 1 January in Russia came into force a law that introduces the so-called “tax on Google”. We are talking about the introduction of value added tax to foreign companies in the field of online sales of content: applications, games, programs, music and so on. According to the publication DTF, Google is one of the first to take into account in their online services tax on digital goods.

Previously, Google did not give accurate information about how it will take account of the tax and whether developers have the option to take a payment themselves. But on Sunday, users of Google Play found that VAT is added to the cost of the games and applications.

The tax is taken into account and subscriptions, and the purchase of other goods, including books and movies. At this higher price is not displayed, and in the store — just right before paying. At the same time, the application of Russian developers are exempt from VAT.

In addition to the Google payment of tax also laid Nintendo — December 15, 2016 digital versions of its games has risen by 20%. Sony and Wargaming decided to take the payment of tax itself.

Apple still has not expressed its position on the question of taxation for users of iOS and macOS. The company has not responded to the request, however, analysts expect growth of cost of the games and apps in the online App store by 30-50%.

According to the law adopted in the summer of 2016, foreign companies must embark on a special tax account in inspection of the as it is doing now the same Russian company. In the case of non-compliance of the law, a foreign company will be liable for illegal business.

Google in December had warned Russian users to raise the cost of using some services from the beginning of 2017. Similar notifications sent to Amazon.

A croissant doughnut by any other name

A croissant doughnut by any other name

The Cronut
A few days ago even the Financial Times (!) reported that - at last - the nearly mythological Cronut [what is that? Read further down] has made its way to London, with the first Cronut bakery [a Cronutery?] opening in Belgravia.

The Cronut is not only a sought-after pastry for those with a sweet tooth, but also IP aficionados.

US-based Katfriend Matthew Hintz (Lowenstein Sandler), worldwide expert in the US Cronut trade mark saga (also tweeting as @mhintzesq), explains it all.

Heres what Matthew writes:

"Baked goods do not usually merit a national conversation, but, for the past few years in the United States, a croissant-doughnut hybrid known as the Cronut has done that.  The fascination continues with this laminated dough fried, and then sugared, filled, and glazed.  Lines for the Cronut at chef Dominique Ansel’s bakery in New York City still start early, despite snow, rain, heat, or the discovery of a nearby dead body.

Epcot at Walt Disney World
took the descriptive approach
with its Croissant Doughnut
In honor of the recent official debut of the Cronut at Ansel’s London bakery, we provide a summary of the trademark registration path for that certain croissant-doughnut.  You can read this while waiting in line.

USPTO registered, cancelled, and re-registered the CRONUT mark

The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) first issued a registration for the CRONUT mark in January 2014 to Ansel’s International Pastry Concepts LLC for, among other items, “Bakery goods, namely, croissant and doughnut hybrid.”  In February 2014, however, the USPTO issued a notice that the registration was “inadvertently issued” while the application was subject to an unexpired extension of time to oppose registration of the mark.  As a result, the USPTO cancelled the registration and reinstated the application to pending status and potential opposition.

That opposition was soon filed in April 2014 by Najat Kaanache, a chef, and Crystalline Management, LLC.  Notably for a baked good dispute, Kaanache’s attorneys were Baker & Hostetler LLP while Ansel’s attorneys were The Cook Law Group (emphasis added).

Grounds in Kaanache’s opposition were (1) likelihood of confusion with Kaanache’s pending application to register the CRONUTS (plural, for “creative donuts”) mark for “Baked goods, namely, sweet donuts and savory donuts,” (2) mere descriptiveness of CRONUT, (3) lack of bona fide use in interstate commerce for all of the goods listed in the application, (4) misuse of registration symbol in enforcement efforts, and (5) fraud on the USPTO that the CRONUT mark was not in use with all the goods on the application.

Rogue “Cronut” spotted
by Matthew Hintz himself
in Chicago, Illinois

Ansel moved the USPTO’s Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (Board) to dismiss the opposition based on the opposition not stating a claim upon which relief can be granted. Kaanache’s dish, alleged in the motion to dismiss, was crawfish “mini croquetas,” attempting to free ride on the acclaim of Ansel’s bakery goods.

In its decision on the motion, the Board expressed no opinion on its preferred flavor profile; instead, the Board denied (most of) the opposition.  The opinion emphasized that a motion on this basis was a test solely of the pleading in the opposition.  In other words, Kaanache didn’t need not to she would win—instead, she only needed to plead her claims sufficiently.  According to the Board, she did plead four of the five grounds sufficiently. As for the other, in ground 2 (mere descriptiveness), the opposition only quoted a descriptiveness rejection from examination. Since this was not her own allegation, Ansel’s motion to dismiss ground 2 was granted, with leave for Kaanache to re-plead.

And she did, and after a series of extensions through the rest of 2014 and 2015, at the end of June 2015, Kaanache withdrew the opposition.  As a result, the Board dismissed the opposition with prejudice.  Subsequently, the USPTO again issued a registration for the CRONUT mark to Ansel in August 2015.  Some puff pastries are just full of hot air.

“The Closest Thing
in LA. To the Cronut!”

The one and only

While resolution of the opposition was pending, in 2014, Dunkin’ Donuts released its own croissant-doughnut hybrid called, in decidedly descriptive terms, the Croissant Donut.  Asked for a comment, Ansel’s legal team responded that:

From our understanding, Dunkin Donuts item is called a ‘croissant doughnut’. This is not an infringement on our trademark for Cronut™. There is a difference between any burger and the Big Mac; and any soda from Coke. And we appreciate large corporations that respect trademarks from small businesses, and distinguish their products appropriately to avoid customer confusion.

But using the term “croissant donut” did not spare Rounds Bakery in Reno, Nevada, from receiving a cease and desist letter from Ansel’s legal team.  Rounds insisted it was careful not to use Ansel’s mark in its marketing and made this clear at #NotACronut.

Other croissant-doughnut hybrids under various names also received cease and desist letters from Ansel’s legal team:  the Croi-nut in Baltimore, Maryland; the Crauxnut in South Portland, Maine; the Creaux-nut in Shreveport, Louisiana; the Kronut in Santa Monica, California; and the Croughnut in Seattle, Washington.

Reactions were mixed.  The Crauxnut was subsequently renamed as the CnD, for “cease and desist,” but the bakery only makes them by special order now as “[t]he ‘cronut’ fad saw it’s day, and demand waned.”   The Creaux-nut’s baker was “thrilled” to learn that Ansel knew of her creation and changed the name.  The Croughnut became Double Happiness, after the bakery ran a contest on Facebook for the renaming.  (Candidates included Fauxssant, Croughbar, Pas Nom, and Le Donut.)  Other bakeries just went with whosywhatsit or thingamajig.

What about trademark protection in the United Kingdom?

The bake was very straightforward for registration in the United Kingdom, unlike Ansel’s nearly 1,000 attempts to adjust the recipe for London weather.  The CRONUT mark was registered as a trademark in 2014 from a designation of an International Registration claiming priority back to Ansel’s U.S. application’s filing date in 2013.

The line is very long and I am hungry

If you don’t want to wait in line or have three days to spare, Ansel published the recipe for an At-Home Cronut in his cookbook.  But be careful how you refer to the finished baked good."

THE GALAXY S8 WOULD BE ACCOMPANIED BY WIRELESS HEADPHONES LIKE THE IPHONE 7

THE GALAXY S8 WOULD BE ACCOMPANIED BY WIRELESS HEADPHONES LIKE THE IPHONE 7

The Galaxy S8 expected at the Mobile World Congress which will take place early 2017 is at the center of all fantasies at the end of the year, the various rumors surrounding it speaking many innovations. According to information obtained by SamMobile, this one could also have right to its headphones intra wireless in the manner of the iPhone 7.

The year 2016 ends, and will give us many surprises as well as some disappointments.Overall however, one can say with certainty having had the right to a very good vintage Android smartphones again.
We turn all naturally around 2017 with great hopes, especially Samsungs side will have to make up the error of its Galaxy Note 7. The Korean manufacturer could create a surprise with a Galaxy S8 abandoning physical buttons in favor of A massive renewal of its design.
This is however not the only fantasy that this one maintains, since it could also abandon the port jack and follow the driving forced by Apple. According to information from SamMobile, it would also be accompanied by new in-ear headphones-free son to make the change viable.
It is not however say if the headphones will be offered with the smartphone, or sold next to it in the manner of Apple. In the latter case, it would not be surprising that they be offered to the pre-order in the manner of the Gear VR helmet.
It is still worth noting that this would not be the first time that the Korean manufacturer offers this type of solution, since  he released his headphones IconX well before its Apple competitor. It would be a pity, however, that it follows the step of stopping the support of the jack, which is difficult to justify these days.
To date, wireless earphones are far from effectively replacing simple wired headphones, especially for purists. Hopefully if this decision is booked, the Galaxy S8 know highlight the innovation that was missing from the iPhone 7 to justify this choice.

GALAXY S7 AND S7 EDGE ANDROID NOUGAT CONFIRMED BY SAMSUNG FOR JANUARY 2017!

GALAXY S7 AND S7 EDGE ANDROID NOUGAT CONFIRMED BY SAMSUNG FOR JANUARY 2017!

Good news if you are a Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge user. Samsung has just confirmed that Android Nougat will land in January 2017. More than a few days to wait to give a little blow to your smartphone.

galaxy-s7-comment-installer-beta-android-7-nougat-tutoriel

The Galaxy S7 and S7 Galaxy Edge are undoubtedly the best selling Android smartphones of 2016 . Samsung has again made a very clean copy this year. The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are among the best smartphones on the market on many points like the quality of the screen, the photo quality or the design.
But its great weakness compared to its great rival the iPhone, these are the delays of updates. Android is partly for something but not only. Samsung must indeed rework its Touchwiz overlay with each new version of Android, which takes it all the same a lot of time.
But this year, Korean made quick to carry Android Nougat on its smartphones stars. In fact, after a month of beta testing Samsung has officially confirmed that Android Nougat was going to land on the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge in January.
Rather, Samsung announced that it would do its best "to distribute the official release in January as soon as possible." One thing is sure so, Android Nougat will be there within 30 days. Especially since Samsung announced the end of the beta program for January 30, 2017.

What we do not know yet is whether users will receive version 7.1.1 or version 7.0 of Android Nougat. Some operators have suggested some time ago that it would be version 7.0 but nothing says that the 7.1.1 will arrive quickly. Users of the Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge, so watch your notifications, Android Nougat is coming soon.

Woman buried alive by wicked fiancé reveals how she clawed out of grave

Woman buried alive by wicked fiancé reveals how she clawed out of grave

A woman who was buried alive after being strangled by her cruel fiancé has revealed how she had to claw her way out of her shallow grave.
Stacey Gwilliam, from Swansea, was left for dead by her partner Keith Hughes.
He had buried her on the Swansea Bay coastal path  in July last year.
She told Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid on Good Morning Britain that she used her fingernails to get out.
The brave 34-year-old said:

“I came round and there were branches and shrubs put on top of me.I could hear my heart beating and I could hear the sound of the sea in the background.
“It was like everything was in slow motion. All I could see were blurs of green and brown.

“I couldn’t breathe, I couldn’t move. It was like I was paralysed. It was awful really. Trying to get your head together to work out what was going on around you.
“I tried to get up, but couldn’t. I had to use my nails to get out of where I was.
"That was all I could do. I tried to push but I didn’t have the upper strength.”
When she finally got to safety at a nearby golf range car park Stacey was put in an induced coma. She had to spend 26 days in hospital, 14 of them in an induced coma and she still has difficulty eating and speaking. The attacks were so serious they left her walking with a stick.
When police arrested Hughes he told them:
“You’ll never find her” but was shocked to be told: “She’s alive”.
Bodybuilder Hughes was jailed for life at Swansea Crown Court in December last year for the attack - but is eligible to apply for parole in just eight years.

APPLE TAKES REVENGE ON NOKIA BY REMOVING WITHINGS PRODUCTS FROM ITS STORES

APPLE TAKES REVENGE ON NOKIA BY REMOVING WITHINGS PRODUCTS FROM ITS STORES

Last week, Nokia was giving his Christmas gift to Apple by attacking him for patent infringement. An attack that obviously did not please the Cupertino firm.In reaction to this affront, the company withdrew from its shops all the products Withings, French brand bought by Nokia. Action reaction !

withings-nokia-apple

Do not look for the noises to Apple, because the reaction is immediate. Last week, we learned that the Cupertino company was sued by former smartphone giant, Nokia . In issue, the violation of several patents.
In 2011, the two giants had reached an agreement and Apple had committed to pay a kind of royalty to Nokia for the exploitation of its technologies. This agreement was limited to a period of five years.
We have come to the end of this truce and both sides are fighting hard. Apple for its part believes to have been victim of extortion. Nokia therefore attacks in return for violation of 32 patents. Good atmosphere between the two giants at the end of the year.
Angry against Nokia, Apple has therefore decided to hurt his rivals wallet. Thus, the US giant has removed all products from Withings shops, be it from the App Store online or physical stores. For those who do not know, Withings is a French start-up of connected objects that was bought by Nokia last spring for 170 million euros. Among its leading products include the Withings activity .
Hard blow (low?) Against Nokia but in this kind of confrontation Apple never does in sweetness. We remember for example that in 2014, the company had also withdrawn Bose products to its stores following a complaint by the latter.

Bose then attacked the brand of headphones and Beats audio accessories. The problem is that Apple had bought Beats some time earlier and therefore moderately appreciated the attack. With Apple, it is better not to try to enter into this kind of conflict, the reactions are never expected. For the record, Bose had finally left the App Store but had managed to appear on the Google Store . Not everyone was finally losing.

Fights red cards end to end action as Pep Guardiolas Man City is humiliated 1 3 by Chelsea summary photos

Fights red cards end to end action as Pep Guardiolas Man City is humiliated 1 3 by Chelsea summary photos

Who says Chelsea cant win the premier league this season? Chelsea proved on Saturday that if theres any team that deserves to win this season its themselves as they came from behind to whitewash Man City 3-1 at the Etihad.

Pep Guardiolas side, title contenders themselves, took the lead shortly before the break as Chelsea defender Gary Cahill deflected a Jesus Navas cross into his own net while Azpilicueta and Thibaut Courtois watched on.

Chelsea reacted in superb fashion as goals from Diego Costa, Willian and Eden Hazard in the 60th, 70th and 90th minute ensured a great win and a great dent on premier league poster boy Pep Guardiolas title ambitions.

It was also a very emotional and intense match as Nigerian star Kelechi Iheanacho almost started a fight while Sergio Aguero and Fernandinho were both sent off late on, after a dangerous tackle on David Luiz.
We never know what can happen in the EPL , but for now, the sky remains blue!
