Slow down why Apple is cutting production of the iPhone


In the first quarter of 2017, Apple plans production of iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus 10%. This was reported by Japanese newspaper Nikkei, citing suppliers.

The publication indicates that the calculations are based on production and global sales of the iPhone last generation. The newspaper’s sources also note that this reduction in orders, “is expected”.

According to analyst firm IDC, global smartphone shipments in 2016 remained at the level of 2015. “Even Apple was unable to avoid the difficulties of releasing new handsets with advanced functions, and aspiring to meet the needs of customers,” says the resource.

It is noted that the demand for the latest generation smartphone iPhone 7 in Japan remains quite high. However, this will not compensate for the total inertia of the global smartphone market.
