How to change any Android IMEI Without Rooting
This article is mainly composed to show you steps by steps approaches to change your Android device and other Mtk device Imei number without having to root your android device. It’s obvious most of us already know about tweaking your android device and changing its imei to that of a blackberry or other imei number that has free data.
I practically did a test run of different types of applications that helps changes
android imei but they all requires root access, which means the android device must be first rooted before the application can help change its imei number. I realized I needed to change my android imei but I don’t want to root the android device because once an android device is rooted it can’t download and receive the latest software updates of the android operating system.
All I wanted was just to change the android imei number to that of a blackberry and still enjoy the features of downloading latest software updates on the device. Below are proven steps which I used to change your Android Imei to a blackberry imei without rooting your device.
Lets go started:REQUIREMENTS:
- Blackberry IMEI Generator: You can download it from Playstore: Download Here
- Dial *#*#3646633#*#* to enter Engineering Mode on your android device
- If the above code didn’t work for you, Download the MTK Engineering Mode App from Play store: – Download Here
Now go to your call screen and input this:
- Dial *#*#3646633#*#* to enter Engineering Mode on your android device
Click on the Connectivity menu, and click on CDS Information
- Under CDS, Click on the Radio Information
- To change the IMEI for SIM 1, choose Phone 1. And for SIM 2, Choose Phone 2.
- After selecting phone 1, You see the default imei of the phone 1 sim slot:
- Now we changing the IMEI of SIM 1, just enter AT +EGMR=1,7,”NEW IMEI” For example AT +EGMR=1,7,”523470787017340? make sure there is space between the AT AND +EGMR
- Now you input the bb imei you generated using the bb imei generator app.
- Click SEND AT COMMAND
- Now reboot device and check your imei number by dialing *#06#. To see if really your phone 1 Imei number has changed.

In this post am going to write about on how to change the imei number of any mediatek(MTK) android device.The main reason why people especially in Nigeria and Ghana want to change their imei,so that it would be possible for them to use the Glo bis on their android devices.Some of this

1. Download MTK Engineering mode here and download bb imei generator from here
2.Open the mtk engineering mode you will see android settings and mtk settings click on the mtk settings.
3.After clicking mtk settings go to connectivty
4.Under connectivity click on CDS information
5.Under CDS information click on radio information
6.If you are using a dual sim device you will get something like this because am using dual sim for this tutorial
7. So you will click on the sim slot you want to use for this operation.
8. If you are using sim 1,you are going to put EGMR=1,7"" at the front of the AT+ for example
AT+EGMR=1,7"xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" where i put "X" that is where you will insert the imei number you generated from the bb imei generator, but if you are using sim 2 you are going to put EGMR=1,10"" at the front of the AT+ for example AT+EGMR=1,10"xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"
9. After doing this you will click on SEND AT COMMAND,then you will see a notification saying
"at command sent" NOTE: If you receive a notification saying "not allowed in user built" what you will simply do is to give a space between the + and the EGMR for example AT+ EGMR then you click on SEND AT COMMAND again this time you will get a "at command sent" then you will rebot your device.
10. Now to make glo bis work with this imei, you will put a glo sim in the sim slot you changed the imei number,u will receive a message from glo saying your blackberry can not receive settings
bla bla bla,then you go to your APN settings and create a new apn setting with blackberry.net and you are good to surf the net with just 1k for 3gb.
