Both companies promise new smartphones they consider to be "the legacy of Blackberry". Like the Blackberry Priv , these new smartphones should incorporate a physical keyboard, the Canadian hallmark since its inception.
But thats not all. Blackberry and TCL promising indeed "a first in the mobile industry." Unfortunately no details are given. So we do not know if its new features, new hardware, or whatever. It may well be an innovative business strategy. This is in any case the hypothesis adopted by most observers.

BlackBerry has officially announced that they stopped production in-house phone. This does not prevent others from using its brand in the future.
