Apple will supply 60 70 million iPhone with AMOLED display in 2017


Sources report that Apple is preparing to release three new iPhone models, one of which will receive a radical new design and the glass case. Another leak claimed that the “Apple” giant intends to equip some versions of the new iPhone curved OLED displays made by Samsung.

Confirmation of these rumors can be the information of the Taiwan resource DigiTimes, Samsung Display which in 2017 will become the exclusive supplier of AMOLED screens for the new iPhone. The publication also became known for the volume of production of Apple smartphones with the organic led display.

Generation iPhone with AMOLED panels are expected to reach 60-70 million units by the end of this year. Per month Samsung may ship up to 20 million displays.

Apple is planning to release a new iPhone with a screen diagonal of 4.7 and 5.5 inches, which will still be equipped with LCD displays, and a model with a 5.8-inch screen, which will get an AMOLED display.

The sources claim that production of a small number of new iPhone will start in March 2017, and the increase of production will occur in may-June.

The order for manufacturing touch sensors will get Japanese Nissha Printing, and the name of the contractor, which will connect the touch sensors with screens, is not yet defined. They can be Samsung Display, TPK Holding or General Interface Solution.

Note that in 2017 will be 10 years since the release of the first-generation iPhone, so many expect that Apple will significantly upgrade the appearance of all or some of the smartphones in the lineup. In particular, the sources mention frameless displays, a built-in screen fingerprint scanner and support for wireless charging technology long-range.

Tashkent ProCab venture enterprise, a manufacturer of cable and wire products in Uzbekistan has been officially included in the list of suppliers Apple. In 2017, the company will supply products for the iPhone and iPad maker.

According to the publication Nuz.uz, in December, ProCab has applied for obtaining the status of official supplier to Apple. The application identified the following types of products: copper cables and wires, power cables, and insulated wires. 27 Dec came the reply from Apple about the successful inclusion of ProCab in the list of suppliers.

“Apple is known for its pursuit of high quality and ProCab wants to help. We have sent an application to obtain provider status. Also sent a letter to Apple CEO Tim cook invited to visit our plant in Tashkent. We are glad to cooperate with Apple and to promote made in Uzbekistan products on the world markets”, – commented the company.

Company from Uzbekistan became the first supplier of products for the production of iOS devices.

As for the company, the plant, located in Sergeli district, equipped with modern equipment from Germany, Finland, Japan, Turkey. The plant launched production of power and control cables, wiring, multi-strand, coil and other wires.
